Alliance for Global Inclusion
Alliance for Global Inclusion is a one-of-a-kind coalition founded by industry peers and is committed to help build an equitable and just tomorrow. The coalition will work together, combining the collective power and resources of our global organizations, to bring inclusivity and full equity to the workplace.
We are a coalition of people from companies and large organizations committed to a unified set of diversity and inclusion goals and metrics. We believe we can accelerate the adoption of inclusive business practices across industries through transparency and collaboration. On this site, we are openly sharing practices, progress and lessons gained through this collective effort — and we invite you to join in.
To improve diversity, equity and inclusion outcomes in technology for our people, our markets and our communities worldwide, the coalition is focused on four goals.
Develop representation guidance for board and senior executive roles reflective of customers and communities served.
Drive awareness, dialogue and industry-wide change for inclusive language in products and documentation, amplified through partnerships with standards bodies and academic institutions.
Inclusive product development
Commit to leveraging existing intervention points in Artificial Intelligence product development to mitigate bias, and embed diversity, equity and inclusion considerations into Artificial Intelligence product lifecycle.
STEM readiness in underserved communities
Improve STEM readiness for youth in underserved communities by increasing technology access and partnering with wrap-around support services.
In mid-2020, Intel and Deloitte conducted a study of 13 companies to capture critical data on current D&I practices, with a focus on measurement, tactics and opportunities to improve. In addition to characteristics of the participating companies, the study includes:
- Data on practices that companies are using to promote diversity and inclusion—what‘s in practice and what’s working or not
- Representation of gender, race and ethnicity from participating companies (anonymized)
This public index increases transparency, which builds trust, drives collective action and scales impact.
